Week 4 Waiver Wire
September 27, 2021

Another Week of football is in the books and we are now starting to see a trend with some players. In this edition of My Week 4 Waiver article, I’ll give you a few players who have consistently put up fantasy numbers and need to be owned. These players are rostered in under 60% of Yahoo leagues. Check it out, and let me know what you think.

Quarterbacks

QB Sam Darnold (21% Rostered)
Darnold has slowly put together a solid season now that he’s with the Panthers. He had another solid outing on Thursday night throwing for over 300 yards and has two rushing touchdowns. The Panthers have had a pretty soft schedule to start but the next five games are just as nice. They face The Cowboys, Eagles, Vikings, Giants, and the Falcons all of which have given up tons of fantasy points to QB. Darnold is no longer in the streaming consideration but you can feel free and fire him up as a top 15 QB at least for the next five weeks.

QB Derek Carr (53% Rostered)
Carr had another 300-yard passing game against the Dolphins and is currently the QB16 in fantasy. The Raiders have a nice young talented group of playmakers that are stepping up every week. The Raiders face the Chargers in Week 4 which should turn into a shootout.

Other Options: Teddy Bridgewater(28%)

Running Backs

RB Chuba Hubbard (25% Rostered)
Hubbard should be your top waiver add this week after the Panthers lost CMC to a hamstring injury. After CMC left the game, Hubbard came in and finished with over 50 yards rushing and caught 3 balls for 27 yards. Hubbard has the potential to be a 3-down back for the Panthers while CMC is out. This is the time to spend your FAAB.

RB Zach Moss (53% Rostered)
The Bills passing game came back to reality on Sunday and it’s helping the Bills get a run game going again. Moss had almost 80 total yards on Sunday and caught a ball for a touchdown. Both RB should continue to split work but Moss seems to be more involved in the passing game. The Bills play the Texans in Week 4 and Moss should be a must start. He is still available in 47% of leagues so be aggressive in getting him if he is available.

Other Options: Peyton Barber(7%), Tony Jones Jr.(18%)

Wide Receivers

WR Emmanuel Sanders (24% Rostered)
Sanders had his best receiving day as a Bill on Sunday. He hauled in 5 passes for almost 100 yards and two touchdowns. Sanders is averaging over 6 targets, and almost 65 yards a game. The Bills should continue to pass a lot in this offence which means Sanders should continue to see targets. Not to mention the soft schedule coming up making him a nice flex play.

WR Christian Kirk (51% Rostered)
Kirk had another big day for the Cardinals. He caught 7 of his 8 targets for over 100 yards. The Cardinals are a very pass-heavy offence which means Kirk should be owned. Kirk now has 15 catches on 17 targets through three weeks and is a solid flex play moving forward.

WR Hunter Renfrow (10% Rostered)
Renfrow has had a quiet, yet productive start to the season. He is the most targeted wide receiver on the team and averaging 5 catches for almost 70 yards per game. He’s not going to break one long, but in PPR he is a good flex play. He should continue to see a heavy dose of targets in this offence.

Other Options: Cole Beasley(53%), Collin Johnson(0%), Tim Patrick (22%)

Tight Ends

TE Tyler Conklin (4% Rostered)
Conklin had a lot of hype going into the year, but he failed to produce the first 2 weeks. He finally popped on Sunday grabbing 7 of his 8 targets for 70 yards and a touchdown. Conklin is a big, reliable target for Cousins. Look for the chemistry to continue moving forward. If you need a TE, take a shot and grab him in the wire.

Other Options: Dawson Knox(9%)
